The Chatham County Police Department is investigating after two people were found deceased in a home yesterday.

Chatham County Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 10 block of Rigger Court around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, for a welfare check. Officers found an adult male and an adult female deceased inside the residence, and both appeared to have suffered from gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigative information does not indicate that there was an intruder in the home. But, evidence continues to be collected as detectives work to gather more information about the case.
