The Mediation Center to host free “Paint & Peace” event on Aug. 22

The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, a leading nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping citizens proactively manage conflict, is hosting a free "Paint & Peace" community event from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. Open to the public for all ages, attendees are invited to paint peace circles, which will be collected to create the Manifesting Peace Mobile, to be displayed at the third annual Peace in the Park celebration on Sept. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Daffin Park.

Local artist Joanne Morton will lead the painting activity at The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire and will help attendees manifest, express and celebrate peace.

“Paint & Peace” is part of The Mediation Center’s 100 Days of Intentional Peacebuilding community outreach campaign, which is designed to raise awareness of the importance of peace in the Savannah community and to celebrate local peacebuilding efforts.
